Reward milestones

Active friends count, not sign-ups. Each milestone is claimed once and the counter keeps going.

  1. Start

    Your first link

  2. 15 active friends

    1,980 primogems

    or $30

The same bundle that costs $29.99 in the game shop.

  3. 40 active friends

    3,280 primogems

    or $50

The second reward stacks on the first. 5,260 primogems or $80 in total.

Paid within 72 hours of your claim. Choose PayPal, an Amazon gift card or a HoYoLAB UID top-up.

How it works

You share the link. We count the rest.

  1. Get your link

Sign in once and you get a short code, for example A3K9-P7M2. Drop the link on Discord, in a group chat, or send it straight to a friend.

  2. Your friend installs Kaption and plays

They sign up through your link or enter your code in the app within 7 days of signing up. They count as active when they:

    • play 2 hours with Kaption subtitles switched on,
    • spread those hours over at least 3 different days,
    • do it within 30 days of signing up,
    • play on their own PC, not yours.

This is checked automatically. Sharing an internet connection at home or in a dorm is fine, accounts you make for yourself do not count.

  3. You claim the reward

At 15 active friends you claim the first milestone, at 40 the second. Pick PayPal, an Amazon gift card or a HoYoLAB top-up and the reward is yours within 72 hours.

Planned

Community fund

We are thinking about optional donations. Such a fund would pay people who actually help: writing code, fixing translations, running the Discord, or promoting the app.

This is an idea for now, not a live program. If you have thoughts on how it should work, tell us on Discord.

Questions and answers

Rules with no fine print.

What counts as an active referral?

Your friend signs up through your link or enters your code within 7 days of signing up. Then they play 2 hours with Kaption subtitles on, over at least 3 different days, all within 30 days of creating the account. In short: a real new player who actually plays.

How long until I get paid?

Up to 72 hours after you submit a claim. You pick PayPal, an Amazon gift card or a HoYoLAB top-up.

Can I invite my own second account?

No. If your friend runs Kaption on the same PC as you, the referral does not count and your code stops working. Sharing an internet connection at home or in a dorm is fine. If we got it wrong, write to us and a person will check it.

My friend forgot to use the link. Can this be fixed?

Yes, within 7 days of their sign-up. They enter your code in the Kaption app, or sign in on this page and use the "Did someone invite you?" field. After 7 days the window closes.

Do the 15 and 40 milestones ever reset?

No. Each milestone is claimed once and nothing resets. Reach 15, claim, keep going to 40 and claim the second reward. 5,260 primogems or $80 in total.

How do I actually get the primogems?

You choose at claim time: PayPal in US dollars, an Amazon gift card for your region, or a HoYoLAB UID top-up, which puts the primogems straight on your in-game account.

Can I lose rewards I already earned?

Only for cheating. If referrals tied to your account turn out to be faked, we can cancel them and reject rewards that are still waiting to be claimed. A referral from your own PC also switches your code off. Honest referrals are safe.

Is there a cap on invites?

No cap. Invite as many friends as you like. Only the two milestone rewards are one-time.

Is the community fund live?

Not yet. It is an idea: optional donations that would pay people who help with the app. When it launches we will say so here and on Discord.

The full program rules are in our Terms, section "Referral program". Questions: contact@kaption.one or our Discord.
