How to set up Kaption from zero

Install Kaption and set it up in one window: it finds your game and the dialogue area on its own, then downloads the Polish subtitles once you sign in.

Genshin Borderless Mode: How to Turn It On

Turn on borderless or windowed mode in Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail: press Alt+Enter, or pick Borderless Window under Settings → Graphics → Display Mode.

Auto-detect missed the dialogue?

Kaption usually finds the dialogue area by itself. When it misses, this guide with screenshots shows how to set it by hand.

How to set the dialogue area

First steps

  1. Download and install

    Get the installer from the home page. It brings everything Kaption needs, so you don't install .NET separately. Start your game before you go on.

  2. Welcome

    Pick the app language, Polski or English, and accept the licence terms and the privacy policy. Anonymous crash reports are off by default.

  3. Game

    Kaption finds the running game, sets the dialogue area and shows a preview of the frame. The frame should cover the speaker's name and the whole line. If it's off, click Adjust by hand and draw it yourself.
