Guide
How the kit works
If her Intro is available, bring Jianxin in with Essence of Tao to pull nearby targets together and gain Chi when it hits. Use Fengyiquan and Calming Air to build more Chi. Holding Calming Air enters Parry Stance: an incoming hit deals no damage to Jianxin and triggers Chi Counter. Releasing the button instead performs Chi Parry.
At the maximum of 120 Chi, hold Basic Attack to start Primordial Chi Spiral. Jianxin attacks nearby enemies while consuming Chi. During Zhoutian Progress, she has increased interruption resistance and takes 50% less damage. Releasing early ends the progress and discards the remaining Chi.
When the progress ends, Jianxin gains a shield based on the stage reached. While that shield lasts, the active character heals once every 6 seconds. Use Purification Force Field when grouping helps: it pulls enemies toward the center, then explodes for another hit. When ready to switch, Transcendence amplifies the incoming Resonator's Resonance Liberation DMG by 38% for 14 seconds, or until they switch out.
Build and why
Use five pieces of Moonlit Clouds for the support build. Its listed two-piece effect gives 10% Energy Regen, useful when you want access to Jianxin's grouping Liberation. Two pieces of Sierra Gale are an alternative worth considering for 10% Aero DMG, since Jianxin deals Aero damage throughout her kit.
Verity's Handle is the first weapon choice. It gives 12% Attribute DMG Bonus, then 48% Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus for 8 seconds after using Liberation. Resonance Skills extend that effect by 5 seconds each, up to three times.
Moongazer's Sigil is next: it gives ATK and increases Liberation damage after Intro or Liberation. Gaining a shield also lets Liberation damage ignore some target DEF, stacking up to five times. Abyss Surges follows with Energy Regen and bonuses tied to Basic Attacks and Resonance Skill hits. For a support option, Marcato restores 8 Concerto Energy when its wielder casts Resonance Skill, once every 20 seconds.
Leveling priority
For a support-focused order, I suggest leveling Primordial Chi Spiral first because its shield and periodic healing are central to her job. Follow with Purification Force Field for damage, then Calming Air. Level Fengyiquan and Essence of Tao afterward.
For maximum ascension you need 170,000 Shell Credit, 4 LF Whisperin Core, 12 MF Whisperin Core, 12 HF Whisperin Core, 4 FF Whisperin Core, 46 Roaring Rock Fist and 60 Lanternberry.
Maxing all skills takes another 2,030,000 Shell Credit, 25 LF Whisperin Core, 28 MF Whisperin Core, 40 HF Whisperin Core, 57 FF Whisperin Core, 26 Unending Destruction, 25 Cadence Seed, 28 Cadence Bud, 55 Cadence Leaf and 67 Cadence Blossom.
Resonance Chain nodes worth it
For the biggest individual upgrade, consider Truth from Within (sequence 6). If Jianxin performs Pushing Punch during Primordial Chi Spiral, she can use Special Chi Counter once within 5 seconds. It deals Aero DMG equal to 556.67% of her ATK as Heavy Attack DMG and grants a Zhoutian Progress 4 shield.
Verdant Branchlet (sequence 1) is a useful earlier option: after Essence of Tao, Basic Attacks give 100% extra Chi for 10 seconds. Multitide Reflection (sequence 4) is worth considering for damage, increasing Purification Force Field DMG by 80% for 14 seconds when Jianxin performs her Forte Heavy Attack.
Tao Seeker's Journey (sequence 2) lets Calming Air be used one more time. For a support build, Principles of Wuwei (sequence 3) and Mirroring Introspection (sequence 5) are easier to skip: the former changes Chi Counter availability after 2.5 seconds in Parry Stance, while the latter increases the Liberation's range by 33%.
Teams
Put Jianxin next to a damage dealer who can use the 38% Resonance Liberation DMG amplification from Transcendence. The bonus has no listed element restriction. Iuno and Xiangli Yao are teammate options named in the guides; use the incoming character's Liberation before the 14-second window ends.
Rover: Aero is another listed teammate, while Verina is an option for the remaining slot. Jianxin contributes grouping, a shield and periodic healing, so choose the rest of the team around the damage and support you want. Her shield heals the active Resonator, rather than immediately healing the whole team.
Common mistakes
Don't start holding Primordial Chi Spiral before Chi is full. Don't release it casually either: the remaining Chi is lost, and the final shield depends on the progress reached. The damage reduction during the hold helps, but it does not make Jianxin immune to damage.
Don't release Calming Air expecting the automatic counter. Releasing performs Chi Parry; Chi Counter happens when an attack hits Jianxin in Parry Stance. Finally, don't switch the recipient of Transcendence out before using their Liberation if you want the amplification, since switching ends it.
