How the kit works
Before battle, use Recast Masterwork in Nacre, then switch to the ally you want as Aesthetic Archetype. Pearl starts the fight with 20 Certified Banger and Deep Learning on that ally for two charges.
Use Relume Life's Light when the team needs healing or more Certified Banger. It gives 15 points and heals everyone for 12% of Pearl's DEF plus 240. The ally with the lowest HP percentage receives that healing a second time.
Appraise Soul's Ground gives 20 Certified Banger and applies Deep Learning to another ally for three charges. It advances that ally by 10%, 15% or 30% with one, two or at least three Elation characters on the team. With four, the ally also gets an extra turn with temporary Certified Banger and Punchline.
During Deep Learning, use the enhanced Basic ATK. Brushstroke: Render the Great Wave hits all enemies and heals the team; an Elation Archetype changes it to Brushstroke: Imagenate the Starry Night, which can deal extra Ice Elation DMG. Each enhanced attack consumes one charge. With an Elation Archetype, the Ultimate also adds 60% Ice Elation DMG after the attack, calculated from that ally's stats.
Grow Grace from Grit uses Certified Banger as Repellency to offset 60% of damage an ally takes. Each point provides 200 Repellency, and the supply caps at 50 points. Sensory Latitude grants five points when an ally's turn begins, up to 50 gained before Pearl's next turn. Her Skill and enhanced Basic ATK also remove one debuff from every ally.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Dreamlit Actor. Its SPD helps Pearl act, while using her Ultimate on an ally increases that target's Elation. If she has at least 10 Certified Banger, the set also gives the team CRIT DMG. Diviner of Distant Reach is another option: its four-piece effect gives allies Elation after Pearl's first Elation Skill in battle.
For a planar set, Sprightly Vonwacq gives Energy Regeneration Rate and advances Pearl at the start of battle when she has at least 120 SPD. Broken Keel is another option for team CRIT DMG if Pearl meets its Effect RES requirement.
Use Outgoing Healing Boost on the body, SPD or DEF Percentage on the feet, DEF Percentage on the sphere, and Energy Regeneration Rate or DEF Percentage on the rope. Look for DEF Percentage and then SPD in substats. DEF strengthens her healing and damage; Panoptic Vision also turns DEF above 2400 into Elation, with up to 3600 excess DEF counted.
Colors for Tomorrow is the first weapon choice. It gives DEF, and its Elation Skill effect increases damage enemies take, restores team HP and gives Pearl Energy. Until the Flowers Bloom Again offers Energy Regeneration Rate and increases damage enemies receive after an Elation Skill. Mushy Shroomy's Adventures is a four-star alternative that gives Elation and increases Elation DMG enemies take.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Brushstroke: Trace the Severed Stream, Relume Life's Light, Dissolve Reason into Elation, Appraise Soul's Ground, then Grow Grace from Grit. The Basic is used during Deep Learning, while the Skill heals and replenishes Certified Banger. Dissolve Reason into Elation lets allies deal extra Elation DMG after their next attack.
For ascension, collect Credit, Sea Siren's Torn Fin, Whimsy Wax, Dreamweave Steel and Lucid Awl. Skill upgrades also need Tracks of Destiny, The Fluffy Hand-drawn Storyboards, The Fluffy Serialization Memorial Issue, The Fluffy Collector's Edition and High Hopes of the Falsely Enlightened.
Eidolons worth it
Nestle That Pearl in Uninked Tides is worth considering for an Elation team. It increases allies' Elation based on the number of Elation characters and prevents a fatal hit twice per battle, restoring the affected ally to 50% Max HP instead.
Crop That Dappled Dawn increases allies' Elation DMG and lets Pearl's Ultimate also advance other eligible Elation allies. It doubles the temporary Certified Banger and Punchline granted by the Ultimate's extra turn. Compute Life From One Shell adds team All-Type RES PEN during Deep Learning and extra Ice Elation DMG to enhanced Basic ATK.
Sketch That Suspended Wave and Render Those Starlit Swirls raise skill levels rather than adding separate effects, so you can leave them for later. Study That Veiled Smile is an option if you want more damage from her Elation Skill.
Teams
Choose an Elation ally as Aesthetic Archetype when possible. Pearl's enhanced attack then gains extra Elation DMG, and Aesthetic Firewall gives Pearl 90 Energy the next time that ally uses their Ultimate after combat starts or Pearl uses hers.
Pearl provides healing, damage absorption and debuff removal, leaving the other slots open for damage and support. Dissolve Reason into Elation adds more damage to allies' next attacks as the number of Elation characters rises, reaching 40% with four or more.
Common mistakes
Do not enter battle after the Technique with the wrong character active. Aesthetic Archetype transfers when you switch characters, and Pearl cannot apply Deep Learning to herself.
Do not ignore Certified Banger just because the team is healthy. It offsets incoming damage, and while Pearl holds it, Sensory Latitude gives allies 50% Effect RES. Use the Skill when you need to replenish the supply.
Do not build only SPD at the expense of DEF. Pearl's healing scales with DEF, and Panoptic Vision rewards reaching 2400 DEF. Also remember that an enhanced Basic ATK removes one debuff from each ally, so the Skill is not your only way to cleanse.
