Guide
How the kit works
Start by hitting an enemy with an eligible attack to enter Sigrid's state and gain one use of Basic Attack: Converging Spear. Options include the fourth hit of Basic Attack: Frost-Tipped Spear, EX Special Attack: Scattered Jade (Special), or Dodge Counter: Counterthrust. Once in the state, eligible hits refresh it and grant another use, but those uses do not stack.
Hold Basic Attack when Converging Spear is available. Each use moves it to the next of three stages; after the third, it returns to stage one. The state lasts 8, 7 or 6 seconds when activated or refreshed at stage one, two or three respectively. Letting it end drops Converging Spear by one stage, down to a minimum of stage one.
If an enemy attacks while you charge the first or second stage, Sigrid blocks. A successful block negates that attack's damage, refreshes the state and grants a use; the next Converging Spear deals 100% more Daze. Press after the block to follow up. The third stage instead gives invulnerability.
Against a Stunned elite or boss, Chain Attack: Encroaching Ice can open a separate sequence of all three spear stages. It records and restores your previous stage afterward. The Chain Attack also gives subsequent Converging Spear attacks 20% more damage for 50 seconds. Use EX Special Attack: Shattered Jade (Special) while in the state, or Ultimate: Frozen Heavens at maximum Decibel Rating, for their Ice damage and invulnerability.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Dawn's Bloom. Its two-piece effect raises Basic Attack damage by 15%, and the four-piece effect adds 20%. As an Attack character, Sigrid gets another 20% after using an EX Special Attack or Ultimate, lasting 25 seconds. That fits her repeated use of Basic Attack: Converging Spear.
For the remaining two slots, Puffer Electro gives 8% PEN Ratio. Branch & Blade Song is another option for 16% CRIT DMG. On disc 4, use CRIT DMG; on disc 5, choose PEN Ratio or Ice DMG Bonus; on disc 6, use Percent ATK. For substats, look for CRIT DMG, then CRIT Rate, then Percent ATK. Keep the 66% CRIT Rate from Core Passive: Sky Knight in mind when choosing pieces.
Knight's Extolment is the first weapon choice. Its Basic Attack and EX Special Attack heavy hits can each provide a stack of Battle Edge, with 32% CRIT DMG per stack. At two stacks, damage ignores 20% of the target's Ice RES. Myriad Eclipse is next: it gives 45% CRIT DMG and, after an eligible Ice hit, lets hits ignore 25% DEF for 3 seconds.
Deep Sea Visitor is another option for its 25% Ice DMG and CRIT Rate after a Basic Attack hit. Its separate Dash Attack bonus requires Ice DMG, while Sigrid's Dash Attack: Windchase deals Physical DMG. The Brimstone is also worth considering for the ATK stacks gained from hits.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Core Passive: Sky Knight first, then Basic Attack, Special Attack, Chain Attack, Dodge and Assist. The passive controls the state and its CRIT Rate bonus, while Basic Attack covers Sigrid's spear stages. Special Attack and Chain Attack also contribute Ice damage and give her ways to enter or refresh the state.
For maximum ascension, prepare 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Attack Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Attack Certification Seal and 30 Pioneer's Certification Seal. For all skills, you need 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Freeze Chip, 75 Advanced Freeze Chip, 250 Specialized Freeze Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Crimson Miasma Spike and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Corrupted Dreamsteel.
Mindscapes worth it
Knight of the Skies is one upgrade to consider for its changes to the Stunned-enemy sequence. It removes the limit on entering Formation Breaker through Chain Attack: Encroaching Ice, makes that state's spear attacks faster and adds Ice damage to the final hit of each spear stage.
Long, Long Ago is another useful option: it gives 25% ATK and an extra Basic Attack: Converging Spear activation after the third stage. If activations exceed the stored limit, the next spear attack's final hit gains extra Ice damage. Legend's First Act adds 24% PEN Ratio to Converging Spear and Unbridled Spear attacks, while extending Aerial Patrol Spear by 2 seconds.
Hero in Training adds damage after Sigrid gains Aerial Patrol Spear. Protector of Miracles and Skybound Oath raise skill levels instead, so you can leave them for later if you are choosing which effects to pursue.
Teams
Pair Sigrid with a Stun or Support character to activate Additional Ability: Legion of the Skies. It increases her ATK based on her level, up to 840. It also gives her 15% more damage when hitting enemies in the Contamination state.
Common mistakes
Don't let the state expire between spear attacks if you can refresh it with an eligible hit. Its duration gets shorter at later spear stages, and expiration lowers the current stage. Also avoid earning another use while one is already stored: the ordinary uses granted by the passive do not stack.
Don't ignore the shield during the first two stages of Basic Attack: Converging Spear. A successful block negates the incoming attack's damage and improves the next spear attack's Daze. The third stage works differently and gives invulnerability instead.
Don't build as though Sigrid has no CRIT Rate of her own. Core Passive: Sky Knight provides 66% when the state activates or refreshes, so check the total before prioritizing more. Against Stunned elites and bosses, remember to use Chain Attack: Encroaching Ice for its spear sequence rather than treating it as a single hit.
