Guide
How the kit works
Start with EX Special Attack: Rock (Special). If you have enough Energy, the next EX Special Attack becomes EX Special Attack: Scissors (Special) for 8 seconds. Scissors then makes EX Special Attack: Paper! (Special) available for 8 seconds. Paper applies Malicious Complaint when it hits, so try to land it before the enemy is Stunned. The effect extends Stun by 2 seconds and raises Stun DMG Multiplier by 30%. The duration bonus does not stack with similar effects.
Dialyn enters the field with 60 Positive Reviews and gains 0.6 per second in combat. A heavy hit from Rock, Scissors or Paper gives 7.5 once per skill use, up to a maximum of 120. When Reviews reach 90, or an Ultimate is activated, she gets one Customer Complaint. She can hold only one.
With a Customer Complaint, hold the EX Special Attack input to consume it and trigger the previous character’s Quick Assist. At 90 or more Reviews, if this attack hits without triggering a Chain Attack window, it consumes 90 Reviews to force one. The next character’s Chain Attack becomes an Ultimate. Dialyn can also upgrade the next Chain Attack when she triggers a window with that EX Special Attack, Chain Attack: Welcome Mat or Quick Assist: Forward Call at 90 or more Reviews. An ally using the upgraded Ultimate then consumes 60 Reviews.
After Rock or Scissors, Basic Attack: Rock, Paper, Scissors gives you up to two Physical attacks with increased Anti-Interrupt and 40% less damage taken. Defensive Assist: Decline Call parries and deals Daze. After its Assist Follow-Up: Back-to-Back Calls, you can go straight into the fourth hit of Basic Attack: Happy to Be of Service.
Build and why
Use four pieces of King of the Summit and two of Woodpecker Electro. King increases Daze and gives the squad 15% CRIT DMG after Dialyn uses an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack. At 50% CRIT Rate or more, it gives another 15%. Woodpecker adds 8% CRIT Rate, helping reach that threshold. Two pieces of Swing Jazz are an alternative if you want 20% Energy Regen instead.
Choose CRIT Rate on disc 4, Percent ATK or Physical DMG Bonus on disc 5, and Energy Regen on disc 6. For substats, look for CRIT Rate first, then CRIT DMG and Percent ATK. Core Passive: Five-Star Service Hotline gives 2 Impact for each 1% of initial CRIT Rate above 50%, up to 100 Impact. Initial CRIT Rate and the set’s CRIT Rate condition are separate checks.
Yesterday Calls is the first weapon choice. It gives Energy Regen while Dialyn is off-field and adds Daze when her EX Special Attack deals Physical DMG. At three stacks, it also gives the squad 30% CRIT DMG. Hellfire Gears is the next option: its EX Special Attack stacks raise Impact. Steam Oven follows, giving Impact for accumulated Energy and keeping that bonus briefly after Energy is spent.
Leveling priority
The game’s order starts with Core Passive: Five-Star Service Hotline, followed by EX Special Attack: Get Lost! (Special), Chain Attack: Welcome Mat and Basic Attack: Happy to Be of Service. Finish with Quick Assist: Forward Call and Dodge: Line Busy. The passive is first because it governs the Reviews, Impact and upgraded Chain Attack mechanics.
For ascension to the maximum level, you need 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Stun Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 30 Buster Certification Seal. For all skills, you need 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Physical Chip, 75 Advanced Physical Chip, 250 Specialized Physical Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Exuvia of Refinement and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Stealth Phantom.
Mindscapes worth it
A useful first upgrade to consider is Boundless Hospitality. It increases the Reviews gained over time and from the three EX attacks by 16%. While Overwhelmingly Positive is active, characters also ignore 15% of enemy All-Attribute RES.
24/7 Hotline is another attractive option for team damage. It adds 20% Stun DMG Multiplier when an enemy with Malicious Complaint is Stunned, and all units deal 15% more damage to targets with that effect. Truth (M6) is worth considering for extra damage after an ally enters with an Ultimate through Dialyn’s passive: it can trigger an additional Physical hit once per second, up to 12 times.
You can skip the later Mindscapes if you only want Dialyn’s base support mechanics. Call From the Hollow and Lies add skill levels, while The Past Never Fades gives Energy on entering combat and ATK while Overwhelmingly Positive is active.
Teams
Bring an Attack or Rupture character to activate Additional Ability: External Line. It raises Dialyn’s EX Special Attack CRIT DMG by 50%. Her EX Special Attack or Ultimate also gives the squad 40% increased damage for 15 seconds, with later uses able to extend the effect.
Try to apply Malicious Complaint before the target is Stunned, then use the longer Stun and increased multiplier for the next character’s damage. When the Reviews condition is met, the upgraded Ultimate gives that character another way to take advantage of the opening.
Common mistakes
Do not let the 8-second windows between the EX attacks expire if you want to reach EX Special Attack: Paper! (Special). Landing it after the target is already Stunned misses the chance to apply its Stun bonus to that Stun.
Do not confuse Customer Complaint with Positive Reviews. You need a Complaint to use the EX Special Attack activated by holding the input, but the upgraded Ultimate also needs at least 90 Reviews under the stated conditions. Watch which route consumed the Reviews: forcing a window with that attack costs 90, while the other listed route consumes 60 when the ally uses the upgraded Ultimate.
Do not build only for damage and forget CRIT Rate or Energy Regen. CRIT Rate supports both Dialyn’s passive and King of the Summit, while Energy helps you use her EX attacks.
