Guide
How the kit works
Start by hitting an enemy with EX Special Attack: Mountainous Pulse Strike (Special). It grants 3 Break Force and triggers a Quick Assist for the previous character in the squad. Pan Yinhu is invulnerable during the attack.
Take that Quick Assist with the teammate you want to empower. Core Passive: Meridian Enlightenment gives the next agent entering through a Quick Assist or Chain Attack during its brief window Meridian Flow: Sheer Force equal to 18% of Pan Yinhu's initial ATK, up to 540, for 25 seconds.
After the switch, Pan Yinhu automatically uses Special Attack: Touch of Death until his Break Force runs out. Each use consumes 1 point. If another squad member is a Rupture character or shares his faction, Additional Ability: Iron Stomach makes each hit apply Depleted Qi for 10 seconds. The affected enemy takes 20% more damage from all units; repeated hits extend the effect rather than stack it.
When you need defense, Defensive Assist: Intimidating Presence parries attacks and deals Daze. Ultimate: A Feast Fit for an Emperor! deals Physical damage, heals the squad and applies healing over time for 8 seconds.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Astral Voice with two pieces of Swing Jazz. Astral Voice gives 10% ATK from two pieces. Its four-piece effect gains a stack whenever a squad member enters through Quick Assist, up to three stacks. Each stack gives the entering character 8% more damage for 15 seconds, with repeated triggers refreshing the duration. Swing Jazz adds 20% Energy Regen, useful for getting back to his EX Special Attack.
Four-piece Proto Punk is another option: a Defensive Assist or Evasive Assist gives the whole squad 15% more damage for 10 seconds. Its two-piece Shield bonus has less direct value for Pan Yinhu's listed kit. Four-piece Swing Jazz is also worth considering for its squad damage bonus after a Chain Attack or Ultimate.
For main stats, choose Percent ATK on discs 4 and 5, then Energy Regen or Percent ATK on disc 6. Look for Percent ATK and ATK substats in that order. ATK supports the initial ATK checked by Core Passive: Meridian Enlightenment, while Energy Regen helps fund his EX Special Attack.
Tusks of Fury is the top weapon option: when a squad member triggers Interrupt or Perfect Dodge, it increases squad damage by 18% and Daze dealt by 12% for 20 seconds. Tremor Trigram Vessel follows, increasing his EX Special Attack and Ultimate damage and granting 2 Energy when a squad member takes damage or recovers HP, once every 5 seconds. Spring Embrace is another option; when Pan Yinhu is attacked, its Energy Generation Rate buff can transfer to the next on-field character when he switches out.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Core Passive: Meridian Enlightenment first, then Chain Attack: Anointed with Wok Steam, Special Attack: Sonic Pressure-Point Strike, Quick Assist: Lift Your Gaze to Good Fortune, Basic Attack: Unyielding Strikes, and Dodge: Light as a Swallow. The passive is first because it supplies the Sheer Force buff; Chain Attack comes next in the game's order.
For maximum ascension, gather 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Defense Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Defense Certification Seal and 30 Defender Certification Seal. For all skills, gather 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Physical Chip, 75 Advanced Physical Chip, 250 Specialized Physical Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Exuvia of Refinement and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Miasmic Elytron.
Mindscapes worth it
Meridian Theory is worth considering for the largest improvement to the Sheer Force buff: it adds another 6% of Pan Yinhu's initial ATK and raises the cap from 540 to 720. Qi Shield is a useful earlier upgrade, giving all units another 10% damage against enemies affected by Depleted Qi.
Yunkui Pressure-Point Strike extends Depleted Qi to 12 seconds and restores 4 Energy for every 6 Break Force consumed. It is a useful comfort upgrade. First-Class Head Chef improves Ultimate healing and gives a one-use recovery effect after an ally loses HP; you can skip it if you do not need more healing. M3 and M5 add skill levels, but you can leave them for later if you are focused on his support effects.
Common mistakes
Do not use EX Special Attack: Mountainous Pulse Strike (Special) and forget the follow-up. It must hit to trigger Quick Assist, and the recipient of Meridian Flow matters. Check squad order before the fight so the intended teammate is the previous character.
Do not assume Depleted Qi is active in every team. Additional Ability: Iron Stomach needs another Rupture character or a faction teammate, and Special Attack: Touch of Death must hit the enemy. Reapply it when the effect expires instead of expecting hits to stack its damage bonus.
Do not ignore Energy Regen if you struggle to use the EX Special Attack. Equally, stacking ATK without regard for the Sheer Force cap can give less value to the buff. Use the Ultimate when the squad needs its healing rather than treating it only as an attack.
