Guide
How the kit works
Start with the first three hits of Basic Attack: Turbo Volt. After the third, hold the attack button or pause briefly and press it again to use Basic Attack: Thunderbolt, an Electric downward strike. The first three Turbo Volt hits deal Physical DMG; its fourth hit deals Electric DMG.
Core Passive: Fluctuating Voltage gives Thunderbolt, Special Attack: Fork Lightning, or EX Special Attack: Lightning Bolt (Special) 64% extra Daze when launched after the third Basic Attack hit. Fork Lightning and Lightning Bolt also come out faster after that hit or after Thunderbolt. Use the EX version when you have enough Energy; Anby is invulnerable during it.
Dodge Counter: Thunderclap deals Electric DMG after a Perfect Dodge and keeps Anby invulnerable. With Additional Ability: Parallel Connection active, a hit restores 7.2 Energy once every 5 seconds. Defensive Assist: Flash parries an incoming attack and inflicts Daze; follow it with Assist Follow-Up: Lightning Whirl.
Choose Anby for Chain Attack: Electro Engine when a Chain Attack is triggered. Ultimate: Overdrive Engine is available at maximum Decibel Rating. Both deal Electric DMG in a small area and make her invulnerable during the skill.
Build and why
King of the Summit is the first set to consider. Its four-piece effect gives the squad 15% CRIT DMG for 15 seconds when a Stun character uses an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack. Anby can increase that bonus by another 15% if she has at least 50% CRIT Rate. Its two-piece effect also increases the Daze of attacks by 6%.
Shockstar Disco is a strong alternative focused on Anby's own Daze. Four pieces give Impact +6% and make Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks and Dodge Counters inflict 20% more Daze to the main target. Add two pieces of Swing Jazz for Energy Regen +20%, or Thunder Metal for Electric DMG +10%.
For disc 4, choose CRIT Rate, Percent ATK or CRIT DMG. Disc 5 can use Electric DMG Bonus or Percent ATK; use Impact on disc 6. Among substats, look for CRIT Rate first, then Percent ATK and CRIT DMG. CRIT Rate is especially useful for reaching the four-piece King of the Summit threshold.
Hellfire Gears is the top weapon choice: it restores Energy Regen while Anby is off-field and increases Impact after an EX Special Attack. The Restrained boosts Basic Attack DMG and Daze as its stacks build. Steam Oven increases Impact based on accumulated Energy, with the bonus lasting another 8 seconds after Energy is consumed. Demara Battery Mark II is another option for Electric DMG and Energy Generation Rate after a Dodge Counter or Assist Attack.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Core Passive first, then Special Attack, Basic Attack, Chain Attack, Dodge and Assist. The Core Passive improves the Daze sequence built around the third Basic Attack hit, while Special Attack and Basic Attack are moves you use throughout that sequence.
For maximum ascension, prepare 800,000 Denny, 4 Basic Stun Certification Seal, 32 Advanced Stun Certification Seal and 30 Buster Certification Seal.
Maxing all skills takes 2,905,000 Denny, 25 Basic Shock Chip, 75 Advanced Shock Chip, 250 Specialized Shock Chip, 5 Hamster Cage Pass, 9 Ferocious Grip and 60 Higher Dimensional Data: Murderous Obituary.
Mindscapes worth it
Precision Discharge is a good early upgrade to look at. It increases EX Special Attack Daze by 10% against enemies that are not Stunned, and gives Thunderbolt 30% more DMG against Stunned enemies. The two effects apply at different points in a fight.
Conducting Charge is worth considering with an Electric teammate. Anby's Chain Attack or Ultimate restores 3 Energy to off-field Electric Agents, with extra recovery based on her Energy Generation Rate. Without such a teammate, that effect has no recipient.
Common mistakes
Do not always finish the four-hit Basic Attack string by habit. Use the third hit as your cue for the extra-Daze Thunderbolt or Special Attack sequence. If you have M1, the fourth hit still has a reason to be in your rotation.
