Guide
How the kit works
A straightforward sequence is to use Bellowing Thunder, then hit an opponent with Lightning Blade. Switch to the character who needs Energy and move close to the Abundance Amulets. The skill releases three thunder shadows and initially creates up to two amulets on hits. Collecting one restores Energy and grants an Energy Recharge bonus for its duration.
Keep attacking with the active character. When their Normal or Charged Attacks hit during Lightning Shroud, they call down Falling Thunder for Electro damage. A hit from Falling Thunder restores Energy to that character, and it can be generated once every 0.5 seconds.
Thunderflash reduces Lightning Blade's cooldown by 1.5 seconds when another nearby party member collects one of its amulets. Resounding Roar increases the amulet's Energy Recharge effect by 10% of Traveler's Energy Recharge. Use the skill carefully: casting it again resets the amulets it previously created.
Foreign Thundertrail gives Traveler a special Charged Attack after nearby party members use three Bursts. Charged Attack: Detonate adds Electro damage equal to 100% of Traveler's ATK to each hit. Three seconds after a hit, it triggers another strike worth 200% of ATK and creates an amulet. It can trigger once every 15 seconds. Foreign Thundershock (NA) also has a Normal Attack chain of up to five strikes and a two-hit Charged Attack.
Build and why
Four pieces of Emblem of Severed Fate are the first set to consider. The two-piece bonus gives 20% Energy Recharge, and the four-piece bonus adds Burst DMG equal to 25% of Energy Recharge, up to 75%. It suits a build that wants Energy Recharge while also improving Burst damage.
For more team support, four pieces of Noblesse Oblige grant the party 20% ATK for 12 seconds after the wearer uses a Burst. Four pieces of The Exile give 20% Energy Recharge and restore 2 Energy to every other party member every two seconds for six seconds after the wearer's Burst. Neither set's team effect stacks with another copy of itself.
A two-piece combination of Emblem of Severed Fate and Silken Moon's Serenade is another option: each grants 20% Energy Recharge. Use Energy Recharge on the sands, Electro DMG Bonus on the goblet, and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the circlet. For substats, look for Energy Recharge first, then CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG and ATK Percentage.
Favonius Sword is the first weapon pick. Its CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate particles that restore 6 Energy, once every 12 seconds. CRIT Rate helps activate that effect. Freedom-Sworn is another option with a 10% DMG increase and an effect triggered by Elemental Reactions. Sacrificial Sword has a 40% chance to end the skill's cooldown after it deals damage, once every 30 seconds.
Leveling priority
As a suggested order, level Lightning Blade first, then Bellowing Thunder, and leave Foreign Thundershock (NA) until last. The skill is the source of the amulets you pass to teammates, and the Burst is used for Falling Thunder. Traveler does not need to stay on the field using basic attacks for that support sequence.
For ascension, gather Mora, Windwheel Aster, Brilliant Diamond Sliver, Brilliant Diamond Fragment, Brilliant Diamond Chunk and Brilliant Diamond Gemstone. You also need Damaged Mask, Stained Mask and Ominous Mask.
Talent upgrades use Mora, Crown of Insight, Teachings of Transience, Guide to Transience and Philosophies of Transience. They also need Guide to Elegance, Philosophies of Elegance, Guide to Light, Philosophies of Light, Old Handguard, Kageuchi Handguard, Famed Handguard and Dragon Lord's Crown.
Constellations worth it
Violet Vehemence is the first standout: Falling Thunder reduces an opponent's Electro RES by 15% for eight seconds when it hits. That helps Electro damage against the affected opponent.
Fickle Cloudstrike doubles the Energy restored by Lightning Blade's amulets when the collecting character has less than 35% Energy. World-Shaker (C6) strengthens every third Falling Thunder: it deals 200% of its original damage and restores one extra Energy to the active character.
Spring Thunder of Fertility raises the skill's amulet count to three, which is useful for distributing them. Distant Crackling and Clamor in the Wilds add three levels to the Burst and skill respectively, rather than introducing new support effects. You do not need to treat either as a stopping point, though they lie on the way to later constellations.
Teams
Give the amulets to a teammate who needs Energy and uses their Burst. An active character who hits with Normal or Charged Attacks can also trigger Falling Thunder and recover Energy from its hits. An Electro teammate benefits from the RES reduction at C2.
Beidou is an Electro option, while Xingqiu brings Hydro and can play off-field. Jean can fill a healer slot alongside them. In that team, Traveler can pass amulets to the character who needs them and provide Electro damage through the Burst.
Eula is a Cryo option if you want a different partner for the Electro damage. Yoimiya is a Pyro option. Choose the rest of the team around the active character's needs, including a healer or a shield when you need protection.
Common mistakes
Do not cast Lightning Blade again before collecting the amulets you want to use. Even if Sacrificial Sword ends the cooldown, the next cast resets the skill's existing amulets. Switch first and collect them with the intended character.
Do not expect Bellowing Thunder to produce Falling Thunder without the required hits. Use Normal or Charged Attacks with the active character, and remember that Energy from Falling Thunder goes to that character.
Do not neglect CRIT Rate if you equip Favonius Sword, since its particle effect needs a CRIT hit. Likewise, stacking damage stats while ignoring Energy Recharge gives up part of the amulet's Recharge bonus. If you use The Exile, remember that its Burst effect restores Energy to the other party members, not its wearer.
