Guide
How the kit works
Start a fight with Good Night, Belobog when you can. It attacks immediately, then deals Lightning DMG equal to 50% of Serval's ATK to one random enemy after entering battle. It also has a 100% base chance to Shock all enemies for 3 turns. That Shock deals Lightning DoT equal to 50% of her ATK at the beginning of each enemy's turn.
Use Lightning Flash to hit one enemy for 140% of ATK and adjacent enemies for 60%. Enemies hit have an 80% base chance to be Shocked for 2 turns. This Shock deals Lightning DoT equal to 104% of ATK at the beginning of each turn. A passive increases the base chance against the attacked target by 20%.
Here Comes the Mechanical Fever deals 180% of ATK as Lightning DMG to all enemies and extends existing Shock by 2 turns. Use it while enemies are already Shocked when you want to keep the effect active. Before E4, it does not apply Shock itself.
After Serval attacks, Galvanic Chords deals Lightning Additional DMG equal to 72% of ATK to all Shocked enemies. Roaring Thunderclap deals 100% of ATK to one target, so you can use it and still get Talent damage against Shocked enemies. Another passive gives Serval 15 Energy at the start of battle.
Build and why
Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters is the first relic set to consider. Its 2-piece bonus raises damage against enemies with debuffs by 12%. The 4-piece gives CRIT Rate and more CRIT DMG against enemies with at least two or three debuffs; inflicting a debuff doubles those stated effects for 1 turn. Shock lets Serval apply a debuff herself.
Scholar Lost in Erudition is another option: it gives CRIT Rate and raises Skill and Ultimate damage. After an Ultimate, it also raises the damage of the next Skill. Band of Sizzling Thunder gives Lightning DMG and grants ATK for 1 turn after using a Skill.
For planar ornaments, Firmament Frontline: Glamoth gives ATK and raises damage at 135 and 160 SPD. Space Sealing Station gives ATK, with an extra bonus at 120 SPD. Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation gives CRIT Rate and gains CRIT DMG stacks when enemies are defeated.
Use CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG on the body, SPD on the feet, Lightning DMG Boost or ATK Percentage on the sphere, and ATK Percentage or Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. For substats, look for CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK Percentage, then SPD.
An Instant Before A Gaze gives CRIT DMG and increases Ultimate damage based on Max Energy. Night on the Milky Way gives ATK for enemies on the field and a damage bonus when an enemy suffers Weakness Break. Eternal Calculus gives ATK and gains more after attacks, with SPD when an attack hits at least three enemies. Make the World Clamor is another option from the game's build: it gives Energy on entering battle and increases Ultimate damage.
Leveling priority
Follow the game's order: Here Comes the Mechanical Fever, Lightning Flash, Galvanic Chords, then Roaring Thunderclap. The Ultimate hits every enemy and extends Shock, while the Skill supplies its own stronger Shock. The Talent adds damage after attacks; the Basic is last because it targets one enemy.
For maximum ascension, you need 246,400 Credit, 50 Lightning Crown of the Past Shadow, 12 Silvermane Badge, 13 Silvermane Insignia and 12 Silvermane Medal.
For all skills, you need 2,400,000 Credit, 5 Tracks of Destiny, 12 Key of Inspiration, 54 Key of Knowledge, 105 Key of Wisdom, 12 Guardian's Lament, 28 Silvermane Badge, 42 Silvermane Insignia and 42 Silvermane Medal.
Eidolons worth it
Encore! (E2) is a good upgrade if you want more Energy: each time the Talent triggers to deal Additional DMG, Serval regenerates 4 Energy. That helps her work toward another Ultimate.
Make Some Noise! is worth considering for easier Shock application. The Ultimate gains a 100% base chance to Shock enemies that are not already Shocked, using the same Shock effects as the Skill. It still extends Shock on enemies that already have it.
This Song Rocks to Heaven! gives Serval 30% more damage against Shocked enemies. Echo Chamber adds damage to a random enemy adjacent to the Basic ATK target, but does not change how you apply Shock. The level increases from Listen, the Heartbeat of the Gears and Belobog's Loudest Roar! are less interesting if you are looking for a new mechanic.
Teams
The Herta is a listed teammate and another Erudition character. Serval brings Lightning damage and Shock alongside her Ice combat type. For support, Tingyun or Ruan Mei can fill a buffer slot, while Huohuo or Natasha can cover sustain.
Kafka is a Lightning DoT teammate to consider if you want another character with that focus. Pela is a debuffer to consider alongside Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, which rewards attacking enemies with debuffs. Keep a sustain character in the team when you need help staying alive.
Common mistakes
Do not expect the Ultimate to apply Shock before E4. If you want its extension, apply Shock first. Also check which Shock is active: the Technique's version has a lower damage multiplier than the Skill's version.
Do not ignore SPD thresholds when choosing planar ornaments. Firmament Frontline: Glamoth needs 135 SPD for its first damage bonus, while Space Sealing Station needs 120 SPD for its extra ATK. If you use Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, remember that its larger CRIT DMG bonuses need two or three debuffs on the target.
