Guide
How the kit works
Before a fight, use The Heart Makes the Finest Tomb and enter combat with enemies inside its dimension. This immediately deploys the Zone from Lick... Enkindled Betrayal. The dimension lasts 20 seconds and stops enemies inside from actively attacking allies. If you enter without it, use the Skill to deploy the Zone yourself.
The Zone lasts three turns, with its duration decreasing at the start of The Dahlia’s turns. It gives allies 50% Weakness Break Efficiency and allows Toughness Reduction against enemies that are not Weakness Broken to convert into Super Break DMG. The Skill also hits a target and adjacent enemies.
At combat start, Who's Afraid of Constance? restores 35 Energy and makes The Dahlia and the teammate who triggered combat Dance Partners. If there is no other Dance Partner, the teammate with the highest Break Effect takes that place. After a Dance Partner attacks a Weakness Broken enemy, the attack’s Toughness Reduction converts into a 60% instance of Super Break DMG.
After the other Dance Partner attacks an enemy, The Dahlia follows up once per turn with five hits on random enemies. Each hit against a Weakness Broken target converts its Toughness Reduction into a 200% instance of Super Break DMG. A trace recovers one Skill Point for every two Talent Follow-Up ATKs.
Use Wallow... Entombed Ash to apply Wilt to all enemies for four turns. Wilt reduces their DEF by 18% and implants the Dance Partners’ Weakness types. Its Fire DMG is divided evenly among enemies. Use Fiddle... Fissured Memory for a single-target attack when you do not need to refresh the Zone.
Build and why
For relics, use four pieces of Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge. Its two-piece bonus gives 16% Break Effect. At 150% Break Effect, Break DMG ignores 10% of enemy DEF; at 250%, Super Break DMG ignores an additional 15%. Thief of Shooting Meteor is an alternative with more Break Effect and three Energy when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break.
Pair the relics with Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern for 6% SPD and 40% Break Effect after hitting an enemy with Fire Weakness. Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is another option: it gives 16% Break Effect, plus 20% more at 145 SPD. Sprightly Vonwacq offers Energy Regeneration Rate and an early action advance at 120 SPD.
Choose HP Percentage or DEF Percentage on the body and sphere, SPD on the feet, and Break Effect or Energy Regeneration Rate on the rope. For substats, prioritize Break Effect, then SPD. Break Effect helps The Dahlia’s Break damage and also increases the Break Effect she grants teammates through her trace.
Never Forget Her Flame is the first Light Cone choice. It gives 60% Break Effect, increases its wearer’s and the combat-triggering teammate’s Break DMG, and can recover a Skill Point when its wearer applies Weakness. Long Road Leads Home also gives 60% Break Effect and can apply Charring when an enemy is Weakness Broken, increasing their Break DMG taken.
Lies Dance on the Breeze is another option, with SPD and a base chance to reduce enemy DEF after an attack. Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat offers a base chance to reduce the DEF of an enemy hit. Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations is less useful as a four-piece set here: its team bonus requires an Ultimate used on an ally, while The Dahlia’s Ultimate targets enemies.
Leveling priority
Follow the game’s order: Who's Afraid of Constance?, Wallow... Entombed Ash, Fiddle... Fissured Memory, then Lick... Enkindled Betrayal. The Talent drives the Dance Partner follow-up and Super Break instances. The Ultimate applies Wilt and deals damage across enemies; the Basic gives you an attack when the Zone is already active.
For maximum ascension, you need 308,000 Credit, 65 Radiant Prominence, 15 Tatters of Thought, 15 Fragments of Impression and 15 Shards of Desires.
For all skills, gather 3,000,000 Credit, 8 Tracks of Destiny, 18 Fiery Spirit, 69 Starfire Essence, 139 Heaven Incinerator, 12 Vanquished Flow's Reticence, 41 Tatters of Thought, 56 Fragments of Impression and 58 Shards of Desires.
Eidolons worth it
As a suggested first upgrade, When a Bud Readies to Bloom extends the Talent’s Dance Partner Super Break multiplier to all allies, with a further 40% boost for Dance Partners. Their attacks also deal fixed Toughness Reduction equal to 25% of the target’s Max Toughness, from 10 to 300, once per enemy target.
Fresh, Ethereal, and Beloved is another strong option: it lowers all enemies’ All-Type RES by 20% while The Dahlia is on the field and applies Wilt to enemies as they enter. For a later upgrade, And Yet, Always, Deathly Beautiful gives Dance Partners 150% Break Effect and advances their actions by 20% when the Talent follow-up is used.
Pity Its Heart Gnawed by Worms is worth considering for five more follow-up hits and 12% increased DMG taken by enemies after the follow-up. Pity Its Petals Thin as Mist and Fallen, Decayed, and Despised raise skill levels rather than adding a separate mechanic, so you can give them lower priority if those new effects are what you want.
Teams
Put a Break damage dealer next to The Dahlia and, when possible, use that character to start combat so they become her Dance Partner. Firefly is a Fire Break and Super Break option. Boothill and Rappa bring Physical and Imaginary damage respectively, and their types can be implanted through Wilt when they are Dance Partners.
Fugue or Trailblazer (Harmony) can fill another Break and Super Break slot; Ruan Mei is a Break-oriented buffer. For sustain, Lingsha and Gallagher are Fire options. Healing or a Shield from a teammate refreshes The Dahlia’s team Break Effect trace for three turns, so keep that condition in mind when choosing sustain.
The Dahlia supplies the team with Weakness Break Efficiency, Break Effect and DEF reduction. Her Zone also gives Toughness Reduction a way to deal Super Break DMG before a target is Weakness Broken.
Common mistakes
Do not let the Zone expire unnoticed. Its duration drops at the start of The Dahlia’s turn, so check it before relying on the team-wide Weakness Break Efficiency or Super Break conversion against an unbroken enemy. If the Technique started the Zone, you do not need to spend a Skill Point immediately to deploy it again.
Do not assume the teammate with the highest Break Effect is always selected at the start. The teammate who triggers combat becomes the other Dance Partner; the highest-Break Effect rule applies when there is no other Dance Partner on the field.
Do not build only for ATK because the attacks have ATK multipliers. Break Effect supports her Break damage and the team’s Break Effect buff, while SPD helps her take turns. Also remember that the Talent’s extra Super Break instances require attacks against Weakness Broken enemies, even though the Zone has a separate effect against enemies that are not yet broken.
