Guide
How the kit works
Before a fight, use Now! I'm the Band! to give all allies 30% Break Effect for the first 2 turns. In battle, use Halftime to Make It Rain to hit a chosen enemy once, then hit random enemies 4 more times. Each hit deals Imaginary DMG equal to 50% of the Trailblazer’s ATK.
Shuffle Along doubles the Toughness Reduction of the Skill’s first hit. Swing Dance Etiquette instead hits one chosen enemy for Imaginary DMG equal to 100% of the Trailblazer’s ATK. Use it when you want to save Skill Points.
Cast All-Out Footlight Parade to give all allies Backup Dancer for 3 turns. The duration decreases at the start of each Trailblazer turn. It grants 30% Break Effect and converts an attack’s Toughness Reduction into one instance of Super Break DMG when an ally attacks a Weakness Broken enemy.
Full-on Aerial Dance restores 10 Energy whenever an enemy’s Weakness is Broken. Hat of the Theater delays an enemy’s action by 30% after an ally breaks its Weakness. Dance With the One increases Backup Dancer’s Super Break DMG by 20% against five or more enemies, rising to 60% against one enemy.
Build and why
Use four pieces of Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations. Its two-piece effect gives 16% Break Effect, and its four-piece effect gives all allies 30% Break Effect for 2 turns when the wearer uses an Ultimate on an ally. That team bonus does not stack with another effect of the same set.
Pair it with Talia: Kingdom of Banditry for 16% Break Effect and another 20% at 145 SPD or higher. Thief of Shooting Meteor is another relic option: its two-piece and four-piece effects each give the wearer 16% Break Effect, and the four-piece effect restores 3 Energy when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break. Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern is an alternative planar set if the wearer can hit enemies with Fire Weakness.
Choose HP Percentage or DEF Percentage on the body and sphere, SPD on the feet, and Break Effect on the rope. Look for Break Effect first and SPD second in substats. Defensive main stats help the support stay alive; SPD also helps reach Talia’s threshold.
Past Self in Mirror is the first Light Cone choice. It gives 60% Break Effect, increases allies’ DMG after the Ultimate, and recovers a Skill Point when the wearer has at least 150% Break Effect. In Pursuit of the Wind increases allies’ Break DMG, while Memories of the Past gives Break Effect and restores Energy when the wearer attacks, once per turn.
Leveling priority
Follow the game’s order: All-Out Footlight Parade, Full-on Aerial Dance, Swing Dance Etiquette, then Halftime to Make It Rain. The Ultimate supplies the team’s Backup Dancer effect, while the Talent helps recover Energy when enemies are broken.
The Basic comes before the Skill in this order, even though the Skill has multiple hits and helps reduce Toughness. You can still use the Skill while leveling it last.
For maximum ascension, prepare 246,400 Credit, 28 Enigmatic Ectostella, 12 Thief's Instinct, 13 Usurper's Scheme and 12 Conqueror's Will.
To max all skills, prepare 2,400,000 Credit, 5 Tracks of Destiny, 12 Firmament Note, 54 Celestial Section, 105 Heavenly Melody, 12 Past Evils of the Borehole Planet Disaster, 28 Thief's Instinct, 42 Usurper's Scheme and 42 Conqueror's Will.
Eidolons worth it
Dove in Tophat is a strong support upgrade to consider first. While the Trailblazer is on the field, it gives the other teammates Break Effect equal to 15% of the Trailblazer’s own Break Effect. This makes the stat useful for another team bonus.
Tomorrow, Rest in Spotlight adds 2 extra Skill hits, taking its additional hits from 4 to 6. Jailbreaking Rainbowwalk is another useful option: it grants the Trailblazer 25% Energy Regeneration Rate for 3 turns at the start of battle.
Best Seat in the House recovers one Skill Point after the first Skill use. Sanatorium for Rest Notes raises the Skill and Talent levels, while Poem Favors Rhythms of Old raises the Ultimate and Basic levels. For a support-focused plan, you can treat these as less urgent than E4, E6 and E2 rather than making them separate goals.
Teams
Trailblazer (Harmony) contributes Imaginary attacks, a teamwide Break Effect bonus and Super Break access. The team still needs someone to keep allies alive.
Common mistakes
Do not expect Super Break from Backup Dancer against an enemy that is not Weakness Broken. Watch the enemy’s state and keep the Ultimate effect active when your allies attack.
Do not forget that Backup Dancer’s duration decreases at the start of the Trailblazer’s turns, not each ally’s turns. Check the remaining duration before relying on it for the next round of attacks.
Do not count on Talia: Kingdom of Banditry’s extra 20% Break Effect below 145 SPD. For Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern, remember that the wearer has to hit an enemy with Fire Weakness to activate its Break Effect bonus.
Do not use the Skill automatically every turn if the team needs Skill Points elsewhere. The Basic is an option when you need to save them, though it gives up the Skill’s extra hits.
